Dan Flavin. (American, 1933-1996). Pink out of a Corner - To Jasper Johns. 1963. Fluorescent Light. I took this at the MOMA in 2007 (you'll be seeing alot of these pictures!) The interesting thing is that a Dan Flavin exhibit is currently at the Pulitzer Foundation on Grand as we speak and it's really neat!
This is the Jasper Johns painting that Flavin is referring to - his light installation is to the right of this painting in a corner. I thought that was funny.
